Trois Plateaux does not respect the unity of time, place or action. These three “golden rules” are rendered obsolete by the multiplicity of times, places and actions. Specifically, the three works are presented in a single area and three performances are produced simultaneously. The spectator is faced with moving around the production as in a visit to an exhibition. Carlos Pez has created a solo work Already played tomorrow, a short form which combines dance and theatre. In this monologue it is the idea of performance which is explored. The performance doesn't exist, has never existed and never will. It's via the storyteller that the audience imagine what is happening on stage. A certain subjectivity is therefore produced in the spectator regarding this production; just as the question of personal viewpoint is constantly questioned in the performances. (S. Siegmann)

Trois Plateaux gaat in tegen de klassieke eenheid van tijd, ruimte en handeling. Zonder acht te slaan op deze drie “gouden regels” hanteert de creatie verschillende momenten, plaatsen en gebeurtenissen. Concreet krijgt het publiek in één ruimte drie installaties te zien, terwijl er daarnaast nog eens drie verschillende performances (gelijktijdig) worden uitgevoerd. De toeschouwer wandelt van de ene performance naar de andere, zonder dat hem regels worden opgelegd. Carlos Pez creëerde de solo Already played tomorrow, een korte vorm waarin dans en theater met elkaar zijn verstrengeld. Via deze monoloog tracht Carlos Pez het begrip performance te doorgronden. De performance bestaat niet, heeft nooit bestaan en zal ook nooit bestaan. Door de beschrijvende monoloog kan het publiek zich wel een performance inbeelden. De voorstelling doet dus een beroep op de subjectiviteit van de toeschouwer. Ook in de installaties staat het probleem van gezichtspunt en perspectief centraal. Voor Trois Plateaux voeren drie performers tegelijk hun versie van Already played tomorrow uit; Alexandre Théry de Franse versie, Martin Nachbar de Duitse versie en Margus Toomla zijn Estse versie. Trois Plateaux ne respecte pas l’unité de temps, de lieu et d’action. Ces trois « règles d’or » sont rendues caduques par la multiplicité des temps, des lieux et des actions. Concrètement, les trois installations sont présentées dans un même espace et trois performances sont jouées simultanément. Le spectateur est dans un dispositif déambulatoire comme une exposition que l’on parcourt. Aucun ordre, aucun rythme particulier n’est donné au spectateur.
Carlos Pez a créé un solo Already played tomorrow, une forme courte qui combine danse et théâtre. Dans ce monologue c’est l’idée de performance qui est explorée. La performance n’existe pas, n’a jamais existé et n’existera jamais. C’est à travers le récit que les spectateurs imaginent ce qui se passe sur scène. Une certaine subjectivité est donc invoquée chez le spectateur pour cette pièce ; tout comme la question du point de vue est sans cesse interrogée dans les installations. (S. Siegmann)
