MIENTRAS TANTO

MIENTRAS TANTO

Mientras Tanto is the story of ordinary superheroes, who do not really have extraordinary powers and who like questioning themselves about the world we live in. The ordinary superhero is not so much someone who acts to counter injustice on a daily basis, but rather someone who measures his own impotence to change the world on the scale of his personal fictions. The fictions we tell, the roles we enact, the masks we wear, how we fantasies at mainstream myths or remake the world in a bar, all are ways to materialize our inability to truly act upon reality.
We intend to create a performance around the topic of death, fear, encounters and the perception of democracy, based on the graphic novel WATCHMEN.
