"After How to make your own clouds and How to make your own Dead Sea?, I wanted to
make something more dramatic – clouds come and go and the salt in the Dead Sea preserves
you from drowning. In this performance, I tell the story of my search for the drama of a storm, and
how I fail. In the end, my attention is drawn to a little hill in the neighbourhood of my
workingspace. I try to turn this mountain into a volcano, for wich I was inspired by Ingrid
Bergman in the film Stromboli by Rosselini. I do eruption experiments, create mini volcanoes, turn
myself into a volcanoe, .... This performance works also (cfr the clouds and the Dead Sea) on
the ‘remaking of the world’, but here I try to remake the world by telling a story about the
search for Stromboli(and drama)." Gosie Vervloessem
